So I've been playing MOTHERGUNSHIP, a first person bullet hell shooter. It's been fun. Not exceptionally deep though. No skill trees to speak of, not that many map types -room types is a more accurate description. But there are loads of guns to use against your robot enemies. And they're modular and collectible, so as you go along you can just keep stacking them up and making crazier and crazier armaments. It runs great, looks pretty darned good and is inexpensive. I recommend checking it out if you're into some fast paced, rogue lite, action. Read more

AC Odyssey is out and you can't see it but, I'm shrugging my shoulders and I could not be more apathetic towards that fact. PC port is pretty awful from what I'm hearing. Again, no surprise. Ubi doesn't care whether you like what they sell, or that it works properly. Yeah we haven't written anything new since before last week. Hopefully Cody will write something about Tomb Raider, I know he's got that. I do think Greywolfe has something coming soon. I have nothing because I've stopped all spending on games in order to begin purchasing my new PC parts.
I just got my case yesterday. Fractal Design, Define R6 in gunmetal. Love it. Now I'm impatient and I really want to buy the rest of the list. But I have to be responsible and "pay bills" and "buy food" and other things less important than building a new PC, says my brain. But I'm keeping an eye on sales and it looks like I'll be able to save myself even more money as I go along. So I'm happy. Read more
Well I've been putting together a parts list for a new PC build and it seems like I can do it for a lot less than I was figuring I'd have to spend. I won't need a new GPU right away because I won't be getting a new monitor right away for higher resolution. So that will save some money up front. I've also got the hard drives I need already so I don't need to buy those. But I'm going to need a new case, CPU, motherboard, PSU, and RAM. After that, I can work toward a GPU and monitor separately to make the whole project more affordable. Read more
