Epic Game Store has a new refund policy that matches Steam's policy. That's fine I guess but Steam's policy is that if you've played for less than two hours you can get refunded. I feel like I hardly ever play a game for less than two hours and know if it's something I like or not. There have been a few: Dead Island is one of those games. So were The Evil WIthin and Assassain's Creed Brotherhood...Ugh even thinking about them now... I never did get any of them refunded, though I really should have because they are truly bad and boring experiences. Some my disagree I guess, and that's okay. Annnywhooooo, coming back from this tangent, Epic also has What Remains of Edith Finch for free until January 24th. Do yourself a favor and grab that if you like a good narrative. It's kind of in the same vein as The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. Just a simple walking simulator that you can likely finish up in a single session. Read more

Happy 2019 WRUP
Hey everyone! Well we made it to another year, yay us. There could be some good gaming stuff happening these coming months and I'm looking forward to finding out just WTF that's gonna be. New hardware is certain, new titles for sure, some scandalous behavior from some company or other is likely on the docket. Hopefully it'll be a year of surprises and not just in gaming and PC / Console news. We'll just have to wait and see I suppose. In the meantime we work, we sleep, we play games. Read more
New Year WRUP
What's up everyone? Looks like Twinstiq went down for some reason or other over the holiday break, but we're back now. Speaking of Holidays, hopefully everyone out there had a great one. Mine was nice, lots of good food and family and my sister got me trip to Ireland. How cool is that? Anyway, it was a busy and fun time for us around here. Here's hoping you all shared a great experience doing whatever you did as well! And happy new year! Read more
Game Store WRUP
Steam has some new competition in the release of the EPIC store, which offers quite a bit better financial split that's more in favor of the developers. The deal is that devs get eighty eight percent of the money their games make. But on top of that, if you happen to be a developer using the Unreal Engine, Epic will pay for five percent of the cost of using that engine out of their twelve percent take. That's a pretty tempting deal to be sure. Hopefully they'll start seeing a big user base build up and EPIC will actually bring some real competition to Valve in the digital service market. Read more
The Reason They WRUP Me
It's a busy weekend for all it would seem. But at least we have games, games, more games. And Daughters.

Another week down. This one was a lot slower, for me at least. The weather has turned downright cold and wet here. I can't help but feel like it's going to snow any moment, in fact, it's supposed to at my elevation during this incoming storm. Hopefully I've got some comfort food laying around in here somewhere... After Thanksgiving WRUP
Well here in the states another turkey day has passed and we're all still full to excess from eating and drinking the typical foods and beverages that come with it. I'm going to have a few more days of leftovers and that's alright because after spending all day cooking and cleaning I'm happy to just nuke some plates of turkey and ham and dressing to keep me strong. I'm a growing boy after all. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and the family arguments didn't supersede the fun.
In other news, the Camp Fire in Northern CA is officially out! Thanks to all the fire crews who've worked endlessly for the past couple of weeks and a good soak that we've been desperate to receive the smoke is washed out of the air and the fire has been laid down. I imagine the mess in Paradise is unbearable, but at least the nightmare of the fire itself is over. Now comes the clean up and hopefully search for all the missing will resume with as little interruption as possible. Stay Strong up there. Read more

Man it's smokey outside. Let's stay in, listen to some cool tunes and play games shall we?
More Fires WRUP
It seems like not a month goes by where we here in CA, haven't seen a major wild fire lately. I'm sure by now you've heard of the Camp Fire, in Paradise. This thing exploded, pretty literally, and in about a day and half has already reached a staggering 55,000 acres plus. By comparison, the Ferguson Fire, in my neck of the state took about a month to reach around 88,000 acres. Pretty insane.
(Quick Update for 11-10) Camp Fire is now over 90,000 acres and at least nine people have lost their lives. The good news is that fire crews have made a big leap in containment and brought that number up to 20%. Keep it up guys.
Yoda and Tru, both live pretty close to the danger and certainly we're all hoping that things will be okay for them. But as for the nearly 30,000 people who have been evacuated and/or lost everything... We're pulling for you. Stay strong out there.
Below is a screenshot of the most recent map we've got so far of the Camp Fire. Read more
Red WRUP Redemtion
Yeah, I used Cody's feature image from last week. What of it?
There's a lot of Red Dead going on at the ol' Twinstiq farm, and that's great I guess. Yoda even bought an XBox. I've only really seen what's been shown to me by our team but it does look pretty cool. The game systems seem to be complex and provide quite a lot to do and build characters from. Lots of intricate details and that's cool beans. I also think "cool beans" is what you call the horse ball shrinkage that takes place in cold weather. Read more
