Alright so we're content short again. That's life when everyone's busy I guess. AC Odyssey is out and you can't see it but, I'm shrugging my shoulders and I could not be more apathetic towards that fact. PC port is pretty awful from what I'm hearing. Again, no surprise. Ubi doesn't care whether you like what they sell, or that it works properly. Just that you buy it and then pay them more money for microtransactions so you can skip the game play part of playing the game. Great model... I'm gonna rant about it. Yeah... Read more

I've been a gamer since a young age, my first experiences were with my old Atari 2600. Nowadays I'm mostly a PC guy but I also play board games when I have the group for it. And I love wrenching on cars besides.
WRUP *Excuse Me
Word to all your respective guardian and parental figures! Today is WRUP day and not much happened this week that wasn't just news you read somewhere else. More political BS mostly. There was also a Banksy painting that shredded itself right after someone bought it for a life changing amount of money. I guess the moral there is: Don't buy effing street art for $1.3 million, you idiot.
Sorry, I'm cranky this morning. Read more
WRUP-ish
Well here I am again. Late to the party. Well... more like gathering really. Maybe not even that, perhaps light social is a better term. Or maybe it's just a thinly disguised attempt at trying to think of something to write in this WRUP but it's not happening because not much is going on that I want to talk about. You don't know.
Oh hey! I did just read something about Cyberpunk 2077 having a release in 2019. So that's cool if it doesn't turn out to be completely false. Which it might because CDPRed have already said it would likely be 2020. Ehhh -grains of salt and all that. Read more
There’s a Big Windows 10 Update Coming Soon and You Might Have to Make Room For it
Well the header says it, really. Microsoft is rolling out a major update in October and it's going to be on users to make sure they have enough hard drive space to install it. From what I read, the previous April update was around 16GB for the 32 bit version of Windows and 20GB for the 64bit version. So with that in mind it's probably a good idea that you make sure to clear some space on the ol' boot drive ASAP. Read more
No New Content WRUP
Yeah we haven't written anything new since before last week. Hopefully Cody will write something about Tomb Raider, I know he's got that. I do think Greywolfe has something coming soon. I have nothing because I've stopped all spending on games in order to begin purchasing my new PC parts.
I just got my case yesterday. Fractal Design, Define R6 in gunmetal. Love it. Now I'm impatient and I really want to buy the rest of the list. But I have to be responsible and "pay bills" and "buy food" and other things less important than building a new PC, says my brain. But I'm keeping an eye on sales and it looks like I'll be able to save myself even more money as I go along. So I'm happy. Read more
Now to the WRUP
Well I've been putting together a parts list for a new PC build and it seems like I can do it for a lot less than I was figuring I'd have to spend. I won't need a new GPU right away because I won't be getting a new monitor right away for higher resolution. So that will save some money up front. I've also got the hard drives I need already so I don't need to buy those. But I'm going to need a new case, CPU, motherboard, PSU, and RAM. After that, I can work toward a GPU and monitor separately to make the whole project more affordable. Read more
Is This a WRUP I See?
Look, nobody ever said we were professionals or that we had deadlines and that we would be on time with everything here. We have a reputation to uphold after all. So a late WRUP or two is to be expected. Get off my back. Read more
WRUP
Last night was a birthday party. Hopefully someone with their head screwed on straight will write a better WRUP and replace this one...
I might be getting Camaro to rebuild so that's potentially exciting. Gonna go look at it today.
What are you guys playing this weekend? Read more
Monster Hunter World On PC – A Review From Scroo
About six months ago now, give or take, I started seeing some ads for Monster Hunter World and I thought it looked pretty exciting. Not just beautifully rendered, which it is, but that it might just finally be time to jump into the series. I also noticed that this was going to be a console exclusive for a time and I almost picked it up then. But I decided I'd rather wait for the PC release because I'd much rather have the options that come with a desktop version. Stick with me guys, this is a long one. Read more
WRUP Hunter
Well the PC release of Monster Hunter World has been a huge success driving sales to over ten million copies. And people say PC gaming is dying. I'll have a review of my experience with the beast brawler going up tomorrow morning.
It's been slow I think for most of us. Or maybe it was just those firefighters that Verizon throttled and made upgrade to a new, more expensive unlimited plan before they could make use of their wireless network during the Mendocino fire complex. Read more
