Well, it may have started a long time ago, in this very same galaxy that we are in, but the final episode of the epic, 42-years-in-the-making, Star Wars nonology finally releases today. To celebrate this historic occasion in popular culture, I've decided to take a look back at a handful of games that have made the jump from that universe since then. While there are dozens of releases I could consider from the past four decades, I've decided to narrow it down to just a few that I have particularly enjoyed and/or played the most over that time frame. So, without further ado, I humbly present to you, 6 of my very favorite Star Wars games.

AJ’s E3 2019 Roundup
Well, the 2019 Electronic Entertainment Expo wrapped up a few days ago and it was definitely a memorable one for quite a few reasons. There was plenty of exciting news from the world of video games, as well as the typical head-scratcher or two. As with most E3s, there were far too many games shown and announcements made to possibly be able to cover everything in a single post, so I went ahead and condensed it down to a more easily digestible dozen for you. So without further ado, here are the top 12 highlights I have selected that were either unveiled or reconfirmed at the event.
What I think Star Wars is Trying to Do
So we finally have a title for Episode VIII, The Last Jedi. I doubt anyone has any second thoughts that this is going to be a reference to Rey by the end of the film. And even if it means Luke, it really doesn't matter much to me at the moment. I don't want to talk about those possibilities, Rey's heritage, or Luke’s possible death in the upcoming film. I want to talk about something a bit larger thematically.
Star WRUP
WRUP is late this week, sorry. Wasn’t home until today, so there’s that. Anyway, Star Wars is great, or at least good, depending on how high your expectations are. Go see it. Read more
New PlayStation Store Releases: Star Wars Battlefront [Update]
The Star Wars hype shuttle has left the hangar and is now picking up a bit of momentum, thanks to the release of the all new Star Wars Battlefront game. Before you fly off to the PlayStation Store or your nearest convenient retail games merchant, you should know that EA is charging full price for what basically amounts to half of a game.
It seems that what you are getting for your 60 or more smackers (or credits, or what have you) is essentially a watered down Star Wars reskin of the multiplayer portion of EA and DICE's popular military shooter, Battlefield. However, unlike the Battlefield games (as well as the two previous Battlefront entries), there is no single-player campaign to be found. The realization then, is that by still charging full price for less of a game, they are essentially just cashing in on Star Wars nostalgia. As such, my personal recommendation would be to at least hold out for a pretty significant price drop.
If you've already boarded that aforementioned hype shuttle though, this may be easier said than done. To EA and DICE's credit, they really seem to have nailed the look and feel of Star Wars. I should also note that their marketing campaign has become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. As a result, the temptation may be pretty strong with this one. (I was actually this close to picking it up, myself.) Whichever way you decide to go, may the force be with you.
Also out this week, Super Star Wars (an elegant solution, for a more civilized gamer), the now fully armed and operational Game of Thrones Telltale series, and 2013's Deadpool game (now making the jump to PS4). Adventure...heh! Excitement...heh! A Jedi craves not these things. Proceed further to see more of this week's new releases.
Weekly Webcomic Wrapup
The Battlefront Beta is in its final stage and after a somewhat lacking first impression, I did gather a bit of a fondness for it. The shooting is lacking, but the overall atmosphere and the inclusion of Power-Ups did win me over in the end. So it’s no wonder we see the game twice in today’s Weekly Webcomic Wrapup. It’s the same joke, but it still gave me a good chuckle…twice.
