Okay so I don't have a high end GPU or quite honestly, the money to buy a high end GPU. But let's look at these newest releases from Nvidia and AMD and discuss the yuck that's happening right now.
I'm going to cite YouTube videos from Hardware Unboxed and Gamers Nexus, for this discussion. Check these dudes out if for some reason you haven't yet because they're fair and informed about everything they present. Certainly they're more informed than me. Read more
Did you guys ever play Rollcage? It's an action racing game that came out in 1999 for Windows and Playstation. Players took on the role of extreme race drivers who piloted purpose built vehicles that could operate at extraordinary speeds, driving on walls and ceilings because of the powerful downforce they generated. They could even tumble over and remain driveable because of their oversized wheels. Not to mention there are weapons involved to make things interesting. Think about something along the lines of Mario Kart, but at closer to the speed of sound while almost every surface on a track could be utilized. And instead of shells and bananas, there are homing missiles and mines. Read more
On top of all this, there’s the problem of “Danny Don’t You Know.”
To put this into perspective, I want to be quite clear that I’m on board with that song. So on board, in fact, that I think it’s the VERY best song they’ve ever done before. There’s such a quiet sincerity that flows from the lyrics to the music to the tone of the song that it feels sort of oddly out of place with the rest of the album. It’s oddly difficult to marry this quiet, sincere side of the band to the prior side, which is mainly about sex and drugs and rock and roll and hilarious one-liners.
Fatshark has released a quick thirty second teaser trailer for the first DLC to come to the Grimdark Fanatsy world of Vermintide 2. Not much is shown but if I had to speculate I would say that what we'll see is up to three maps, one of which will contain a new boss. Read more
I've been so excited for Monster Hunter World to come out on PC and now that it's here I'm finding that I probably should have just picked it up for my PS4. Not that I'm not having a good time with it mind you, I just feel that this isn't a great PC port. Read more
I finished Wolfie II within a day of starting it and I liked it a lot. Unfortunately I couldn't and still can't record it -at all. Not to mention there was no Steam overlay support at release so I couldn't screenshot it -at all; not even print screen worked. Read more
So I'm sitting here drinking a locally brewed Whisky Barrel Brown Ale thinking to myself about how I'm excited for some new games that are coming to PC soon; and just some games I don't have yet that are out already. I figured -Hey I'll write about that so we have something more than WRUP articles. Read more
I've been wanting The Surge since I saw it show up on my Steam recommendation page like a month ago. I had no real idea what it was at the time but what I saw looked pretty intriguing. Read more
You guys! If you read any of my Darksiders articles you know I'm into it. You also know I've been hoping for quite a long time that we fans of the series would get a third Darksiders title. Well it looks like that's actually going to happen after all and I'm pretty thrilled by it so far. Read more
So I picked up Nier: Automata on release day without any prior experience with the Drakengard series or Nier. I had paid it mild attention when I started seeing early footage and then it went largely forgotten, lost behind my growing backlog of games yet to be played. When I started seeing footage of pre-release reviews and very early first impressions I began seeing what was so intriguing again. Then I learned that this game was being made by Platinum Games - I had all but decided this was going to be next on my list. Read more
