I've been a gamer since a young age, my first experiences were with my old Atari 2600. Nowadays I'm mostly a PC guy but I also play board games when I have the group for it. And I love wrenching on cars besides.

WRUP Time Again

Another weekend is upon us. The second Saturday of 2024 and it seems to have come in pretty fast. Sneaky, like a thing that sneaks. Anyway it's a cool morning out, not too terrible but there could be some snow coming in later on this afternoon. Nothing like my buddy in Colorado, he told me this morning it's -11 there. That is unacceptable and I refuse. Anyway, here we are again and we're not too far out from some new releases... releasing. Let's look at some. Read more

Happy Holidays WRUP

Hey there everyone, welcome to WRUP and happy holidays. Here's hoping everyone is planning a good time with the people they care about. We're going pretty small here this year. I think it's just immediate family, maybe a couple friends locally if they have a free moment to join us. I'm going to sous vide a tritip or some other beef, I've got a Turkey in freezer that never got used from Thanksgiving and we have some six pounds of jumbo shrimp, so it'll be a good surf and turf dinner. I'm hoping our mild weather lasts and we can eat outside at the fire pits and just chill and enjoy the evening all cozy like. For now though, here we are and it's time for a WRUP. So let's get to it. Here We Go Again On Our WRUP

Well, good morning. Hopefully everyone had a good Thanksgiving, ate too much, held down the couch and didn't argue too much with relatives who hadn't been around since last year. Mine was great. Lots of food and a sunny day so we ate outside and once the night cooled down we lit the fire pits, had a few beers and ended the night with scotch and cigars. Not too big of a crowd this time around. But that's okay. We had a great time and a ton of laughs. Thanksgiving is of course not bespoke to the US, but we seem to relate our celebration to some form of independence. Not true, the real story is sordid and bleak with no shortage classism and racism etc. But, that doesn't mean we can't celebrate the tradition in the way it's evolved over time by just getting together, eating too much turkey for some reason and trying not to murder each other based on our differences in ideals. Let's get to the WRUP. Read more

Here, Take This WRUP

Good morning or whatever time of day it happens to be wherever you are. It's time for yet more WRUP. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day around these parts, nearly 70 and I think I'll take the opportunity to get some more wood cut and split since I sort of fell behind during October thanks to things be extra busy. I also need to blow out this computer because holy smokes it's dusty in there. Winter preparations, house cleaning and general boring-ass chores are the theme for the day. Yay for me. Okay let's look at a PlayStation centric WRUP. Read more

Lords of The Fallen 2023 – Crashing Issues and Potential Fixes

Lords of the Fallen 2 arrived a couple of weeks ago and it's proving to be quite a worthy souls-like with its strategic combat and beautifully built world populated by manic zealots, undead and some truly frightening bosses. I've been enjoying it greatly yet it has opened to a real roller coaster of emotions and mixed reviews. Viewing the Store page on Steam shows a fairly divided community with 59 percent of the 15,000 plus reviews being positive. Stability and performance seem to be the main issues. For myself it's definitely been stability that's been the negative. Let's take a look at this a bit. Read more
