Almost The New Year WRUP

Hey there everyone, it's been another year and even though Twinstiq is basically extinct I'm still here to throw down one last WRUP for 2023. Let's take a look.

Still playing Starfield for some reason? Well, there's a mod out there that promises to make those pesky temples less annoying. It's called, Less Annoying Temples, if you can believe that. What it does is fix some bugs that Bethesda can't be bothered with along with a couple of other helpful quality of life improvements including only needing to reach one objective instead of five to complete the temple. Starfield will make completionists visit 240 temples to max out power stats, this looks like it'll make that grind less awful. GameRant has more on this including a link to mod itself.

If you still play around with your old Wii U or 3DS, you can soon expect your online features to be unavailable. Nintendo said earlier in the year that online features would remain active only until April of 2024 after which they would shut down permanently. It seems however that the shutdown has already begun it's slow rollout, so while it may not affect you right now it is something to worry about if you're keeping your online dream alive.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor has been on sale recently and if you picked it up you've probably found out that it's considerably more difficult than its predecessor. One boss in particular, the Spawn of Oggdo, was hounding our own, AJ for some time so he recorded his victory to share with the world. It seems if you position yourself just right you can force pull some heavy helpers from a ledge above the pit and drop them into the boss fight to soften it up before you hop down and get the finisher. This comes from AJ's own 12-12 Games YouTube channel, here's the link if ol' Oggdo is frustrating you as well. Thanks AJ!

Okay that's all from me. Happy new year to everyone out there in the world. Stay safe.

What are we playing?

AJ: I recently acquired Retro-bit's official limited edition reproduction of the Genesis classic, Gaiares. I also downloaded Super Double Dragon on the PlayStation 5, so I'll likely be ringing in the new year with some old school 16-bit goodness.

Greywolfe: ultima 1! but also! my sleep schedule is a mess again. i hate it. once i beat ultima 1, i'm going to be playing a hero's quest/quest for glory randomizer with A LOT of the very crazy switches turned on. let's see how that goes.

Scrooloose: Dave the Diver and SnowRunner for me this time.
