It Came From WRUP

Holy I'm a week late because I was sick AF, Batman! It's time for a WRUP.

During the recent game awards (who cares?) we got a look at some interesting goings on. The one that stuck out the most to me is the highly anticipated and somewhat recently delayed, Space Marine 2. A new impressive nearly half hour long game play teaser was shown along with a "firm" release date of *drum roll* September 9th, 2024. It got pushed back quite a ways which is disappointing, yes, however we are more and more often bombarded with incomplete, buggy, broken releases these days so I for one am fine with waiting longer for a release that is at the very least less broken and buggy and hopefully complete. It's been a while since I played though the Space Marine of 2011. 2019 in fact was the last time I went though it. I'm very excited to fall back into the roll of Titus, former Captain now demoted and for some reason a primaris marine. Even if Mark Strong is no longer our voice actor, and even if our main antagonist is Tyranids this time. At least there are now some Thousand Sons chaos marines to join the fray. Not to mention the game engine being used for this sequel is capable of handling a whole lot of enemy units, thousands in fact, on screen at once so maybe fighting Tyranids will feel less boring. I will miss those charismatic Ork Boyz though. Here's some info from IGN to whet your whistle.

And I'm sorry, but this is really all I've payed attention to. I have been recovering from the worst head cold I've had in ages and the brain fog is real. So, here's hoping next weekend I'm more normal and we can see something more exciting.

What are we playing?

Greywolfe: more king's quest 6! i made it through the maze, which isn't the worst thing about that game, it's just the most tedious. which means i'm effectively in the second half, where you "choose your path" through the game [there's a long and short path.] - probably just going to go long path, because that's what i always do when i play this. after that, ultima 0 [akalabeth], which will take all of an afternoon, and after that - NEW king's quest! [or at least, new to me.] - i never really played 7 and 8, so i'm going to rectify that by starting up a playthrough of 7. given that everyone has triangle eyes and the animation is...iffy at best, i'm probably going to come out of it feeling some disdain for that entry in the series, buuuuut i guess that - since i've never given it a shot, i really should.

AJ: I just recently acquired a custom physical release of a slightly modified version of the Genesis classic Splatterhouse 3, as well as a physical version of EA Sports WRC for the PlayStation 5, so I will likely be playing those a bit this weekend.

Yoda: New PoE league starts Today and ima get myself some voidstones

Scrooloose: After being sick AF this past week I think I'm getting on the path to normal. So hopefully I can get back to work while the weather holds and get back to playing more Lords of the Fallen. I've been jumping back into Snowrunner as well.
