Saturday is upon us. All upon us. This morning is frustrating for me. I awoke several times during the night with the dog whining and pacing around. I more or less figured there were raccoons out or something but when I got up this morning I soon understood what was up. Someone around here has a big black lab mix and he comes around and plays with my dog from time to time. Unfortunately I've also caught him stealing the cushions from the deck furniture in the past. So what it looks like is that he paid us a visit last night and not only stole the last cushion from a deck chair but also took laundry off the line and chewed it up and destroyed a rolling chair that sits on the deck. I walked down my mountain bike trail and found a towel or two, a bed sheet and the seat cushion from the deck chair torn to shreds. I would even suspect a bear or something if it wasn't for the cushion. This same dog has, in the past, stolen outdoor dog beds and chewed them up in my driveway. I've caught him doing it. I'm sure of my suspect. The problem aside from the property destruction is that he won't come near me when I do catch him in the act so that I can check his collar for a phone number to call. Calling animal control is also more or less pointless unless I manage to catch and hold him. But I also don't want him to go to doggy jail for being a dog. Then again I don't want him hit by a car either. He usually comes from the road suggesting his home some distance away and not a neighbor just a few acres from us. Conundrums eh? Read more

I've been a gamer since a young age, my first experiences were with my old Atari 2600. Nowadays I'm mostly a PC guy but I also play board games when I have the group for it. And I love wrenching on cars besides.
Gonna WRUP This Up
Hey everyone, good morning as I sit here before 7:00am for some reason to write a WRUP. It looks like my area is expecting some much needed rain today which is fantastic because we're still in this drought in CA and the two major storms we've had all winter haven't done it. This won't either but it'll feel good to wash the atmosphere down a bit. Man I'm boring today. Just a middle aged dude talking about the weather to a bunch of people on the internet. Read more

Stuff and Things for WRUP
Good early morning everyone and welcome to the third month in our year of the WRUP 2022. I don't know about you but I have more less fallen ass deep into the tarnished Elden Ring hole... you know what I mean. I'm playing a lot. I don't know how it's even possible but I have over 70 hours in the game already. If I'm not working, I'm farming runes or finding bell bearings or farming runes and new gear from some wandering knight or just exploring the beautiful world. I love it so far. I say 'so far' like 70 hours isn't enough to really know. Anyways, let's looks at the WRUPses.
The Last WRUP (In February)
Good morning everyone. I'm not going to go in to what's going on in Ukraine because we've all seen it by now. We're wishing them luck there and that's all I'll say on that for now. Let's go right to WRUP related things. Read more

WRUP IF
Hey everyone it's me, Scrooloose, and welcome to another WRUP. The Olympics are in full swing and aside from some questionable judges scoring choices things are mostly going smoothly, as it would appear from the outside anyway. That's not to say we're not seeing controversy. The very first team ski jumping event has seen five women disqualified due to suit infractions. The measurements for the jump suits must not exceed four centimeters from the body and it seems that some have gone past the mark. It turns out those ski jumpers come to the games with seamstresses/ers that will make adjustments on the day of the jump to make sure things fit as bodies change from day to day. It's evidently a pretty tight metric to follow. Read more
All Sorts of WRUP
Welcome to a sports heavy February and this weeks WRUP. It's Bengals VS Rams for the Superbowl at Los Angeles this year. I haven't watched a spot of football during the season but I always watch the big event. Speaking of big events, the entire world is on stage for the Winter Olympics in Beijing. After a fairly lackluster opening ceremony last night I'm interested in seeing some cool snow sports. Of course there's plenty of tension between nations what with the current string between Russia and Ukraine being pulled so tight but hopefully world war three doesn't start while I'm watching bobsled. Or at all, in fact. That would be good also. I did read that Ukraine fired a warning missile. Not sure how that works but it doesn't sound awesome. Anyway, we aren't here to talk geopolitical struggle. Let's get to some topics. Read more
SnowRunner Material Weights – Info Dump
I may have a problem. I have nearly twenty five full days of play time in SnowRunner. It's a title I had looked forward to ever since MudRunner and I bought it happily when it came out on EPIC originally for my PC. To be clear, I even pre-purchased the game and that's not something we here ever recommend, but I knew I'd love it. I played the game and made it to Amur in phase four when it came out before becoming somewhat disenchanted by what felt like a pretty huge and unbalanced difficulty increase so I put SnowRunner down for a while. Before that, however, way back when season two started I began finding myself getting curious about how much these materials I was hauling and towing around weighed, so I began making an itemized list with estimations based on my own construction and landscaping background and I came up with some numbers. I've been playing again recently and I'm now two phases behind, but I did run across the list I made and it sparked an interest in sharing it with all of you. Read more
