Hey, it's the weekend -Not that one. And hopefully you're all still staying safe and observing some caution while things begin to open back up in a wider presence.
Just a reminder, businesses and beaches and gyms and what have you opening back up do not mean that COVID is just magically gone. Just be safe out there. I think I can finally get a haircut, so that's good news for like, everyone. Starting to look like Doc Brown a little.
Now let's talk about the elephant in the room, the PS5 reveal.
Lots of folks out there dislike the aesthetic. I actually think it looks pretty nice. It's also pretty damn big for a console, I can only image that has to do with the full sized discreet GPU that's in there. There will also be two versions, the one with an optical drive and the one for digital copies of games alone. At some point there will be a refresh (slim) version, and a high performance one. It also looks like there will be some peripherals: A remote, available headphones, an HD camera, controller charging docks etc. All sold very separately I'm sure. And rumors abound for price being around $599 to $799 for the console, itself. Of course there were games shown, none of which really had me going like "yeah let's do this", with the exception of the new, Horizon: Forbidden West and Demon's Souls remaster. I don't have a lot else to say about it. Lot's of exclusives despite the "Play has no limits" tag line. Seems like exclusives are a limitation but, yeah whatever. PS5 guys. I'm feeling lazy so... no links!

Greywolfe: i am playing the magical "wait for the new psu to arrive" game. it's going to come with a copy of horizon: zero dawn [potentially], which i hope i can redeem, but i don't think that's going to work out. otherwise, my sleep pattern is almost unfubar'd, so maybe some streaming this weekend. which means more magic: arena and more portia. i'm still not really "feeling" like i want to game, though. so that'll be about it for me.
Yoda: Think i might make this the weekend I finally check out Control and give that a run. Also plan to keep dipping my Toe back into elite so I can get through more audio books while gaming
AJ: Sunset Riders! (One of the greatest games of all time is now available on Switch and PS4 and I insist that everyone go buy it immediately!) Also that Panzer Dragoon remake and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, specifically Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact - Giant Attack. (Try saying THAT three times, fast!) [I will not say that even one times fast, @AJ]
