I'll admit up front that I used to be a bit of a Blizzard fan boy. All the way back with The Lost Vikings, Warcraft, Warcraft 2, Starcraft and so on this is a game company that constantly kept me and my friends entertained. At the very tail end of 1996, then Blizzard North, introduced Diablo, and it very quickly became an obsession. Diablo was a game changer, a true original. I Finally Played Darksiders 3
You guys probably know that I'm a fan of the Darksiders series from my previous reviews here, both of Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition and the Darksiders: Warmastered Edition. The third iteration has been around close to a year now and it wasn't very well received at launch. I even let the thoughts of others influence my decision not to buy it at that point. That's not generally something I do. Regardless, I waited and with the recent Steam Summer Sale reducing it's price to $20.00, I finally pulled the trigger, (Strife Joke), and picked it up. Nier: Automata – Early Impressions
So I picked up Nier: Automata on release day without any prior experience with the Drakengard series or Nier. I had paid it mild attention when I started seeing early footage and then it went largely forgotten, lost behind my growing backlog of games yet to be played. When I started seeing footage of pre-release reviews and very early first impressions I began seeing what was so intriguing again.
