It's hot. Today is going to busy, of course and our first one over 100 degrees. I feel like I don't actually have more than a few minutes of free time any longer and not for any good reason. Yesterday was a good slow day though so I took advantage. Anyway here's a WRUP.
Elden Ring's giant new DLC is out for play now. I haven't picked it up yet because I'm already playing everything it seems and barely have time for any of it. However I will say that it looks really good. Shadow of the Erdtree isn't just a DLC though it's a full on expansion; almost a sequel in fact at 60GB and $40. This is one the most anticipated additions to the Souls catalogue since Elden Ring itself. I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point soon and really get lost in the genre again.
EVGA has been gone for a good while now. Kingpin, is back. I'll let him do his own speaking in this GN video. This is potentially important news for XOC enthusiasts. I've never gotten into it myself but I do find it interesting to watch.
Space Marine 2 is at least a title I've been anticipating. It's seen some delays because of studio drama and recently we got to see a six minute video about updates and gameplay and you should watch it. Here is said video showing formerly captain Titus taking on his new challenges about a century after his last enemy engagement got him detained by the inquisition. There are some interesting looks here. Titus, for instance during the announcement teaser is shown wearing Primaris armor, while in this new overview trailer he's shown in his normal space marine power armor. Perhaps he gets an upgrade as the game progresses? In any case this game is looking superb and I'm still excited.
I'm sorry guys, this is all I really have this weekend. I hope you're all staying cool out there. Take advantage of cooling centers, public pools when you can even find on any more, stay inside for AC, stay hydrated and limit your time outside if possible. And please make sure your animals have plenty of water and shade. Have a great weekend everyone. I've got to get myself ready for the day.
Whats the play this weekend?
Greywolfe: i beat baldur's gate: dark alliance. as always, it was a fun, laid back time. i'm not at all sure what to play next. going to think about that for a day or so, but i have picked up and tried slay the spire again. i keep dropping that game like a hot potato, because it keeps just being TOO rogue-y for my tastes. i just want a persistent card game. none of this live-die-repeat nonsense.
AJ: I recently acquired the iam8bit 30th anniversary physical rerelease of Street Fighter II for the Super Nintendo, and in honor of the Stanley Cup Finals, I also just downloaded NHL 94 Rewind for the PlayStation 4. Suffice it to say, I'll most likely be having myself a fun little retro throwback weekend.
Scrooloose: Ghost of Tsushima is on my main list. I also think it's finally time to start thinking about Expeditions joining my library.
