April Xbox One Update Now Live

The April Xbox One update is here, and it brings several improvements to party chat, achievement notifications, activity feeds, and the What's On area.
If you were expecting voice messages and dedicated party chat servers, you'll have to wait a bit longer. However, Xbox One firmware beta testers will have access to these features.

HoloLens Will Not be a Focus at This Year’s E3

A tweet by Phil Spencer confirms that Microsoft's entry into augmented reality will not be a focus at this year's E3.
While stating that the technology has entertainment potential, the primary focus on the product thus far has been as a means for professionals to visualize and collaborate on products and prototypes. It will be interesting to see if the HoloLens will have any Xbox One connectivity at all, as so far the product has only been shown to interface with Windows PCs.

Quantum Break Delayed into 2016

Remedy's Quantum Break was originally set to launch sometime in 2015, but the Microsoft published game has been delayed to 2016. Read on to find out what happened.
The official line starts off with a non-sequitur, “With so many Xbox One games launching this year, moving Quantum Break to 2016 extends our incredible portfolio into next year with a monster new IP", but reading further down the blog post on Remedy's site indicates that the game is receiving an added layer of polish and tweaking.

PSA: Dragon Age: Inquisition Free Trial

Own an Xbox One and have a Live Gold membership?  Don't own BioWare's Dragon Age: Inquisition but have been dying to check it out?  You're in luck, because right now you can head over to the Xbox Store and download a free trial that will last until March 16th, which means you have almost a week to explore the world of Thedas.  If you're collecting Achievements, you'll be happy to know that they're enabled and you'll be able to keep them even if you don't purchase the game.  What have you got to lose?  Only yourself... in the vast world and deep story.
