February is right next door and you know what that means: Twinstiq has its first Birthday! WOOHOOO. This also means that it’s been a year without Joystiq already. BOOOOH!
Oh, and it’s time for #4iF! YAAAAAAY!
If you’re new to this, or just never did one before, the rules are fairly easy: Finish 4 games in the Month of February. You don’t have to start from scratch, you don’t have to 100% them, they can be 20 minute long games or 250 hours long (though that might prove to be a logistical problem).
So, who’s joining us? And what will you play? I personally am still not 100% sure. I would love to add The Witness to my list, but I fear that screams “INSTANT-FAILURE”. Dropsy and Neo Tomb Raider 2 are guaranteed however.
Big thanks to Mike Suszek, who not only started this whole thing, but also allowed us to use his official 4iF banner. If you are on Facebook, make sure to join his official 4iF group.
yaaaaay!
my plans are:
banjo tooie
shovel knight [plague knight dlc]
simon the sorcerer
jazzpunk.
My list consists of Arkham Origins (PC), Far Cry 4 (PS4), Undertale (PC) and Peunma: Breath of Life (X1). And if I get froggy I might try to squeeze in Her Story as well, since I understand that it’s short.
Right now the hardest part is waiting for February to start.
Origins got a lot of hate. But Its a very great game. Definately one of the weaker naratives of the Arkham games, but the game is paced very well with some very clever and experimental level design that will surprise you.
I think it’s been a couple years since I played Arkham City, felt like time for another Batman game. And since I knew I could get Origins on sale since Knight just came out, why not? The worst I remember hearing about it was that it was just more of the same as the other games, and I see nothing wrong with that.
Nothing wrong with it at all. Story may not have brought me to tears like city or made my nerdgasm busy as hard as Asylum, but it’s still a fun barman story with the best mechanics in the series
