WRUPS-A-Doodle

Good morning, I'm a day late for this WRUP. I'd like to say it's because I've been busy, because I have been, but it's not true really. I could have done it on time yesterday. But I'll make up for it. Here we go.

Project Cars one and two are being delisted from Steam in September and October. The licensing for cars and tracks is about to expire and there won't be any renewal it seems, so the games have to be removed from sale. The good news is that if you have the games already then you can still play them without any loss of function. No worries about Project Cars 3 though. PC Gamer has the word

Gamescom happened and some really cool looking new entries were shown. One I'm very excited about is Callisto Protocol. Not that this is brand new for Gamescom, but there was a good look at the game play and though it does seem reminiscent of Dead Space, it also looks to control a little more modern. Think a little more like Tomb Raider with Lara kind of in stealth mode. A touch of weaponry is showcased including what looks to be a kind of "gravity gun" that picks up the abominations you'll face and allows them to be tossed around. Here's a link to the game play trailer. Another incoming title that looks really impressive to me is High on Life. Animations and graphical quality appear through the roof here and though it is a shooter it's take on guns is pretty different. It's also by Justin Roiland of "Rick and Morty" fame. I'll link it's preview here.

Okay that's it from me, sorry it's late. My bad. I'm actually going to be extremely busy until Tuesday but that's no excuse for not getting this up yesterday. Here's to a good rest of the weekend everyone.

Playing games?

Yoda: Well no games this weekend. It's heading out to go live in another state time for me. Moving on from the world of Copiers to the world of Semiconductors, but games will happen once I'm settled. Well, I say games, but let's be honest, when I get the time again it'll probably just be more Wow

AJ: Dodgeball Academia! Also, I picked up a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4/5 so I'm curious to see how that runs on my new PS5. I only previously tried that game on the base Xbox One and it played like something that was still in the alpha stage of development. Even after several updates.

Greywolfe: there is no gaming.  only real life.  [to the tune of, "there is no dana, only zuul."]  [but i'll try and get some chicory painting done somewhere during this weekend, at least.  also /sorta/ trying death stranding.  dunno if it'll stick.]

Tru: Well I'm sick... So probably be gaming. Wife go me a Switch OLED so I'll be setting that up. But odds are, more Yakuza 0.

Scrooloose: I will also not be doing much gaming this weekend as I've been conscripted to help my sister move back here from where she is now. It's gonna be a fun time driving a UHaul over Altamont Pass I'm sure. But, when I'm back to normal I think I'll be trying Destiny 2 because it's free on EPIC for a time. I have no real desire to play it, but free is free and I'll give it a shot. I feel like it's just going to be Outriders but older at this point and at 119GB it's not just a small installation for me at 25Mbps. I want to add and edit here, that I had totally forgotten that Destiny 2 has been FTP for a long time now. EPIC fooled me into trying Destiny 2 haha
