Wrupping All Day

Good morning or afternernoon or evening or whatever time it is where you are. It's another weekend and that means it's time for another WRUP.

Last week we talked briefly about Midjourney, the Discord AI. There was an article about some of it's uses including a prediction of the last selfie on Earth. That's a link from PC Gamer. Well, as it turns out you can also jump in on using Midjourney to realize the images in your head. Just amble on over to the website for details. Yes that home page looks a bit sketchy, but it's all on the up and up and once you're through agreeing to the terms of use you can use a simple command and describe anything you like for the AI create for your viewing pleasure. Four images will be generated before your eyes and from there you can upscale and make variations of each one. You'll have 25 free queues before being prompted to subscribe for continued use - I subbed the bot for a month because it's fantastic to just have something pop into my mind and be able to have it visualized almost exactly how I see it. It's pretty amazing and the basic sub is only $10 a month. The use isn't quite unlimited at that level but it's enough for me and what's created can be used for pretty much anything you like as long you're not making more than a million dollars a year on it. I recommend going through the free trial if nothing else. One of the first things I had it imagine was - A sailing ship flying in deep space at the horizon of a black hole while it consumes a neutron star - and I got the image I'll post below along with three others. I was sold immediately and it's now the home screen wallpaper on my phone.

Spider Man remastered PC port OMGWTFBBQ! Yoda is loving it so far and planning to make some mods even, so that's epic. Turns out this is a very good PC port with tons of variable settings to get it running smooth on your PC and all I'm hearing are good things. Here's the video review from Digital Foundry. Take a look if you're still on the fence. I plan on picking this up soon for myself.

Space simulator fans rejoice and behold the new Elite Dangerous update. This is apparently the end of the long running arc, The Azimuth Saga and it carries a whole bunch of game fixes too. So hop in your favorite space craft and get to piloting because there will likely be a new story line in (maybe) near future. PC Gamer with more.

Okay guys that's all from me today. I've got to get to work on a small project I have going on so I'll catch you next time on the WRUP show. Have a good weekend.

What's playing on our various machines?

AJ: Well, nearly 21 months after it first "became available", I was finally able to procure a PS5 at retail. Been making up for lost time with some Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Returnal, and Deathloop! Let the long since current gen commence.

Yoda: The 2016 Spider-Man game finally hit PC and I'm gonna mod the everloving shit out of it all weekend

Scrooloose: I'll certainly be playing more with Midjourney, but aside from that I'm still enjoying my retro trip back to Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. Deep Rock Galactic is still holding my attention, soon hopefully Spider Man will as well.
