Good morning all. It's another Saturday and I have some prep to do before Monday's expected rain. Some bags of concrete to get covered and or moved. I've got some gym equipment I need to move inside. I need to double check the chainsaws and make sure they're covered along with the fuel cans. Generally just making sure things that would be outright ruined by rain do not get ruined. Southern CA is expecting a tropical storm or even category one hurricane and that would be the first time since the late 1930's. Way up here where I'm at it's looking like a quick inch of rain, which is awesome. I'll take the cool weather and the moisture to wash the air clean. If you're going to be affected by this storm, stay safe and be ready if you're in the areas expected to be harder hit. This is unusual, don't underestimate it.
Alright, to the WRUP.
Armored Core 6 is just over five days away - slightly longer for console players. Preloads for PC and PS4/5 will begin on August 23rd with the PC specific release set for 3:00PM pacific time on the 25th, though It's possible you'll see a late evening unlock on the 24th. XBox preloads are happening now as I understand it, but the game won't be playable for consoles until the turn of midnight on the 26th. File size will vary between platforms pretty drastically. I presume this is mostly due to varying resolution of texture files. This at least makes sense for PC and Xbox, I'm not so sure about the discrepancy between PlayStation 4 and 5. Maybe sound file compression? Here's what you can expect...
- PC: 65 GB
- PS4: 55.7 GB
- PS5: 43.3 GB
- XBox One: 35.6 GB
- Xbox S/X: 53.2 GB
If you've been on board the ARPG train lately you've probably been playing Diablo 4 and you've likely been paying attention to development of the so far incredible looking, Path of Exile 2. I've been playing D4 pretty regularly and I've remained mostly happy with it. Now enter a classic - THQ Nordic has released a teaser for Titan Quest 2. The original showed up in 2006 and contained a lot of content with fairly deep levels of character development. Challenging game play featuring mythical heroes and monsters in semi-fictional places kept me intrigued. I played a lot of Titan Quest back in the day and I'm curious about a sequel. Not much information is available for TQ2 yet, but Here's the announcement from THQ Nordic.
Everspace 2 is on game pass and I highly recommend playing it. This is basically a new take on the classic, Freelancer and I had a ton of fun playing in a surprisingly good campaign. There should also be DLC coming somewhat soon-ish. I'll be looking more into that. For now though fire up your Xbox and get to space flying.

AJ: Moving Out and the console edition of Baldur's Gate I & II. I may also pick up the newly released GOG version of Fallout 4 - GOtY.
Greywolfe: major\minor was terrible, but i have sweet release from it, because it's done. thank god. now, i'm trying postmouse, which is likely going to be pretty short. i'm not sure what i'll play after that, though.
Scrooloose: More Diablo 4 for me. Nothing terribly exciting beyond that though.
