The WRUP Is Upon US

Hey there everyone. We survived the end of March and made it to April, even seeing some pretty great April fools jokes on the internet. One from CD Projekt Red advertising a limited edition of Cyberpunk 2077 installable from 97,619 floppies. They say it should take around two months of non-stop floppy disk swapping to be playable. That one made me laugh pretty good. There was also one that had me going for a moment until I read a few details in about Nvidia buying Xbox from Microsoft in order to better compete with Playstation. Which honestly doesn't sound too terribly out of the range of possibility until you get into the details: Dual GPU SLI configuration and AI to power the box... yeah.  Tweaktown you almost had me for a moment there. The article even contains renderings of the NVidia Xbox. Pretty fun times.

Somewhat intriguing news on the AMD CPU front as the tech giant is refreshing AM4 yet again with the Ryzen 5000 series. The 5000XT series was shown in China and are fit to run on the now older AM4 platform, presumably with a motherboard bios update that would allow the CPUs recognition. This is cool news for folks like me actually since I'm still running an X470 AM4 board with a 3700X. I and those like me could squeeze a little more life out of our aging, but still capable systems, potentially anyway. From PCGamesN the info comes with some speculation as they say there's no evidence yet that these XT chips will even release in the west. But, hey could be pretty cool stuff.

If you're playing your 3DS and or Wii U online, this is your final weekend to do so. Nintendo is stopping those online services on April 8th. Here's a little more from Kotaku.

Okay guys, that's all from me this week. Have a good one and remember - You're unique. Just like everyone else.

What are we playing?

AJ: Just picked up Shinobi Non Grata for the PS4, and The Witcher III for the PS5 so, you know, probably those.

Scrooloose: Helldivers 2 has increased the level cap from 50 to 150 so I'm continuing the war effort. Incoming soon will be a new warbond so I'm ready for that as well. Horizon Forbidden West is also on my playlist. Fantastic title.
