F… YEAH! It’s as good as confirmed, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is coming.
After some rumors and supposed leaks, GameInformer now went public with information on their May issue. Prominently featured on the cover is Adam Jensen and it will feature a “12-page look at Deus Ex: Mankind Divided”.
What we know so far:
- The game will be set two years after Human Revolution, you will again play the guy with the coolest sunglasses in video games, Adam Jensen, who seems to take on a double agent role. Your main employer will be a government sponsored task force, but you also work for a covert organization called the Juggernaut Collective.
- The original release of DE:HR did receive quite a bit of criticism for the way it handled boss encounters. Mankind Divided supposedly allows you to take on every boss in multiple ways.
- There will be no save game transfer from Human Revolution and its different endings will not influence the setup of this game.
- Square Enix wants to explore the backstory of the original game, so expect many cross references to events Deus Ex 1 talked about. (Maybe now is the time to replay the original? Ooooh, this gives me an idea)
- One of the missions takes place in a city that is based on the infamous Kowloon Walled City
- Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One
