Bloodborne Rest Mode Issues in Multiplayer

For those of you going online with Bloodborne, entering Rest Mode while connected may cause issues upon resuming the game. Sony knows about the problem and is working on a fix.
This is Sony's official statement on the issue:

"Utilizing the new Suspend/Resume feature to put the PS4 into Rest mode without shutting down the game first causes players to be unable to complete matchmaking. Please be sure to restart the game in order to make sure you are able to connect online and matchmake for multiplayer.

This issue will be addressed in an upcoming patch."

Hopefully this will bring more awareness to the issue and how to take the proper steps to resolve it in the meantime.

Have you ever wanted to know more about the inner workings of a gaming system you enjoy? One developer who wanted to know exactly how the NES worked has put up an account of their experiences building their own emulator for the system.

Documenting the process on his web site, we can all learn a little more of the work that goes into an emulator, and how one might reverse engineer a system and interpret programs meant for very specific hardware. The source code is also available for your inspection!

HoloLens Will Not be a Focus at This Year’s E3

A tweet by Phil Spencer confirms that Microsoft's entry into augmented reality will not be a focus at this year's E3.
While stating that the technology has entertainment potential, the primary focus on the product thus far has been as a means for professionals to visualize and collaborate on products and prototypes. It will be interesting to see if the HoloLens will have any Xbox One connectivity at all, as so far the product has only been shown to interface with Windows PCs.

After Purchasing OnLive, Sony Announces its End

After acquiring the struggling game streaming service OnLive for an undisclosed sum, Sony announces the end of its services later this month.
In a statement from OnLive, they reveal that the company will begin winding down its company and eventually cease operation. Sony states the purchase will lead to "great opportunities for our gamers, and gives Sony a formidable patent portfolio."

Presumably the patents and technologies OnLive used appear to be the primary reason for the purchase, and will be used to beef up the PlayStation Now service.

You may know this developer for having produced such notable games as Arc Rise Fantasia and 7th Dragon, and they even have a game yet to be released, Luminous Arc Infinity. However, in February the developer experienced a mass exodus of employees and emptied their offices, leaving a vacancy sign asking for new tenants.

Now, requests for contact with the CEO have gone unanswered, leaving concerned industry veterans asking for information about his whereabouts.

Gog.com booting DRM in your games!

Did you buy a copy of Stalker or Mount & Blade War Band when they came out? Are you sick and tired of the DRM? Well I've got some great news if you fall into that rather specific category!
Gog.com has announced that you can input retail keys for select games and receive a Gog.com DRM free version. Join us past the break for details.
The deal only covers certain versions, languages, etc so you'll have to check out the details on the site to see if you qualify. Alternately you could just input the serial number and see if it works. Right now the deal is only with select games (listing below) but they plan to roll it out to as many games as possible in the future.

Games:
Eador: Genesis
S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl, Call of Pripyat, Clear Sky
Mount & Blade: Warband, With Fire & Sword

This is a very small start, but if it works and they are able to expand this list then everybody wins. Gamers especially.
