The PlayStation Vue service is available now on PS3 and PS4 in
New York, Philadelphia and Chicago, offering over 50 channels at its basic $49.99 per month package, with $59.99 giving you 61 channels, and $69.99 giving you access to a staggering 84 channels. For a complete list, click here and scroll down to where you can select your city. A 7-day free trial for these areas is available now on the Sony Entertainment Network website. Still missing, however, are Disney, HBO, Showtime, and Turner networks.Sling TV is available now on many more devices, but right now if you purchase an Xbox One at the Microsoft Store (online or physical locations) you can get a 3 month trial, a good way to get started with the service. Check the Sling website for more information on availability and channel listings. Packages start at a very competitive $20, include channels from Disney, AMC, Time Warner, ESPN, and more.
Since you need to pay for internet service in order to access both of these services, Sling TV's basic package coupled with Netflix seems like a very economical way to go, but PlayStation Vue offers a ton of variety and value, just not in many locations or on many devices yet.
