No Man’s Sky is coming to the XBO. Ponder that for a minute.
Done? Cool, so what is everyone playing over the weekend?
Thomas: Can’t sit for long stretches of time because my mind is stuck in the body of a 90 year old man, so more Switch stuff while chilling on the couch. Can’t complain too much, because if it wasn’t for my failing body, I wouldn’t be able to relax at all right now.
Grey: grinding out one last achievement [maybe i'll go for one more] for ducktales remastered, then i'm going to move into trying to do the same for chronicles of mystara. bigger list there, but most of them are evidently fairly easy. apart from that? recording sessions of magic: arena. the developers of that game screwed the pooch pretty hard with the economy. [we're still in beta and there's still time to course correct, but the beta forums feels that everything the devs have said makes it seem...not likely that they will course correct.] so. dead game walking.
Cody: Hearts of Stone! And Elite lol
Scroo: More Vermintide 2 is highly likely. I've been getting back in to MudRunner since recording footage for The Valley map. But I'm not sure what else really. I'm trying to jam some work days in since the weather has been nice this past week.
AJ: I'd been looking forward to a fun-filled weekend of Far Cry 5 (try saying THAT three times, fast) but the bitter taste that game's first hour left in my mouth quickly shut that down. So, I suppose it will be more Fallout 4. Despite my apparent addiction to it of late, I'm a bit on the fence about that game. It seems to straddle the line between joyous elation and head-shaking frustration. I'm kind of hoping the latter will win out just so I can finally move on to something else. We'll see what happens.
Tru: I finally finished my first run of Persona 5 (clocked in at 120+ hours at level 99, will all Confidants, Social Skills, and 80% of the Persona Compendium filled out). So what does that mean? Time for New Game+! But also, my students are on Spring Break so that means I will be diving into the new Expansion for Assassin's Creed Origins, as well as putting in more time on Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
I didn’t realize I’ve been so slack on my WRUP-ing for a couple of weeks.
I started Agents of Mayhem and while I’m enjoying it, I can see how it didn’t resonate with fans of Volition hoping for a new Saint’s Row. It’s fun to play in bursts though, and the story is funny enough to give me a few chuckles.
On a whim I bought HuniePop from GoG. It’s like Bejeweled meets a pervy anime dating sim, but it’s actually fun. Something lighthearted to play in between all the shooting and hacking in my other games.
And speaking of shooting and hacking, I can’t seem to quit playing Bloodborne. My third character was supposed to just be for co-oping with new players and never intended to finish the game as I am holding him at level 50. But I’ve maxed out the whirlygig saw and have found a lot of fun in trying to push through the game with somewhat of a glass cannon. I’ve beaten all the mandatory bosses in the base game and have made it to the second boss in the DLC. I keep expecting to suddenly hit Bloodborne burnout, but not yet.
Yeah man I hear that. I keep expecting to get tired of Vermintide or MudRunner, but they just keep me interested all the while. It’s great to find a title that’s not only good but is also something like a good return on investment.
