Konami has given an official cancellation notice about the Silent Hills project, confirming quotes from Guillermo Del Toro and Norman Reedus that already made the rounds on the internet.
Here are the official lines from Konami:
"Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however the embryonic Silent Hills project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued."
"In terms of Kojima and del Toro being involved, discussions on future Silent Hill projects are currently underway, and please stay tuned for further announcements"
"We will continue to develop the Silent Hill series"
Personally, I find it's disappointing that all of the hype, interest, and reinvigoration that P.T. brought to the series is being thrown out. How do you feel? Were you interested or turned off by P.T.?
