On the 24th of April, a Nintendo Direct focused on Xenoblade Chronicles X went up, and a Nintendo Treehouse livestream followed, featuring three Nintendo of America employees from the Product Development division. For an hour, they streamed themselves playing through various areas of the upcoming JRPG, featuring the various worlds, mechs, and combat instances. An archived video is now up for your viewing pleasure.
Nintendo Treehouse is basically the localization department, handling the English, French, and Spanish translations for North America. These guys are responsible for some of the best localizations in the industry, including the Mario & Luigi, Paper Mario, and Animal Crossing series of games. These are text heavy games with more than the average amount of dialogue. They are responsible for successfully conveying the various accents, colloquialisms, and attitudes conveyed by various characters. Be very glad that this game is in their hands.
