You Get Plus WRUP

It's WRUP time. It's also brew-pub party time where I'm at so I'm going to get this out there and get myself on the way to enjoy a nice day.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is getting a lot of flak for being a largely poorly optimized title, it's also gigantic wanting some 155 GB of storage with of course an SSD recommendation. Earlier this week there was a release of a major patch to help with common issues so if you put it down for crashing, collision problems or general stuttering and freezing maybe things are a bit better now. I tried to find those patch notes on EA's site but it's a consistent 404 error, so here's a list of the changes from Rock Paper Shotgun. In the meantime EA has let it be known that the launch has not gone to their standards and promise to make improvements ASAP.

Speaking of gigantic games, Diablo 4 is soon releasing it's next beta test meant to specifically put the smack down on servers. The beta in question comes on May 12th and goes through the 14th from noon to noon. The Diablo 4 beta install size is around 77 GB but according to PC Gamer the full game will require something like twice that space. Don't worry too much about the specs required to run it, even though the recommended specs seem high it's very likely you won't need to update your rig to play on June 6th when the full release is scheduled. I will say though that it's a good thing that big hard drives are getting cheaper.

Okay, that's it today. I'm off to get some good food and beer and chill for the rest of my Saturday.

Games this week?

Greywolfe: beat ghost of a tale. it was pretty good. the beginning [where it's a stealth game] sucks a lot, and the very end [where it wants to be an action game] is miserable. but the between parts are pretty neat. it's a tiny open world that's sort of oldschool in how it plays. might be fun for some. now playing ANOTHER game i bailed on and which i've probably wrup'd about, in the past: seasons after fall. i mostly like it, but i've hit THE MOST TEDIOUS puzzle annnnnnnd i dunno, man.

AJ: Kirby's Return To Dream Land and Tomb Raider.

Scrooloose: Playing around Diablo 3 still.
