The Game WRUP

The Game Awards…

But what’s everyone playing over the weekend?

Thomas: Either getting back into Watch Dogs 2 or start with Dishonored 2.

Cody: Vidya Games! Alien Isolation for game club, some Stanley Parable and god knows what else!

Wolfe: my saints row three binge has come to a near-halt.  all the endgame map-claiming stuff is stupid up the wazoo.  but i have started up a playthrough of black cauldron.

Tru: Just finished the story for Gears of War 4, however, still playing that. Amazing game, best in the series. Still playing Halo The Master Chief Collection. Also picked up the remasters of Darksiders 1 ad 2 so may try those out soonish.

Spent the evening playing with a couple friends on the Xbox. Started with Titanfall 2, then switched to Borderlands 2 for a bit, then after one of us had to leave, more Titanfall 2. I’ve started Dark Souls 3, so I expect to play that some tomorrow, and before the weekend is out I’d like to get back to the No Man’s Sky update and my Dead Space 1 play through before I forget where I left off.

My head aches a little after my first psvr experience in the RE7 demo. The headset fits comfortably, but it’s like wearing snorkeling gear…getting adjusted to it just felt awkward, and it was hard to get my eyes to simply just relax. Anyhow after 15 minutes I had to take the thing off b/c of the intense nausea.

Still loved the demo though…vr or not, I’m all in! The demo is like PT, but less annoying, and the overall aesthetic feels like a continuation of RE4, but in first person. There’s no way to “win” the demo with a conclusive ending apparently, but there might be one later tonight that conveniently ties in with today’s playstation experience events.

Speaking of which…a new Uncharted title with Chloe? Also, Last of Us part II officially announced with trailer! Ni No Kuni II! etc etc.

follow-up: yikes…that psvr headache has persisted all week. or maybe it’s bc I was spending a lot of time staring angrily at the monitor at work that prolonged it. In any case…proceeding with caution and meddling with vr only towards the weekend, popping a low dosage of advil said along the way.
