It's Saturday, it's WRUP time, let's do it.
Good morning everyone out there, I say from my own time zone while I watch the Goodwood Festival of Speed streaming live. I would love to go to that at least once in my life. If you don't know what this is about but you have heard of cars before, let me drop a link to the YouTube channel here.
Bobby Kotick gets to keep his post at Activision Blizzard. Here's the link from Kotaku. I don't even want to talk about it.
Speaking of Blizz - Overwatch 2 is heading to launch in October and will be a direct replacement for the current Overwatch. As I understand it, the game will be free to play and the loot boxes will be removed. That's a decent step forward. Let's hope there's not a predatory online shop in place of those boxes. Some kind of free to play model has to be in place to continue support for the title, that's acceptable. Play to win though is not acceptable so let's hope it doesn't get there. Gamesradar with more on OW2.
Okay guys, sorry it's a short one. I actually have some stuff to do here soon so I need to wrap this up. Have a great weekend, stay cool, have a beer for me.
What's the play here?
AJ: Doom 64 just landed on GOG so I'll be picking that up and then I'll probably also play some Jumping Flash on PS4.
Greywolfe: it's friday! which means i get to paint the world in chicory [i'm trying to reserve that as a once a week de-stressing thing. just a nice place to stop off for a couple of hours while i give colour back to that world.] apart from that, i'm currently almost crossing the first third mark for ffv. actually playing it with a guide helps a lot. but it also exposes just how much pure nonsense is in that game if you want to 100% it. eg: one guy spawns exactly once, but only if you kill the people in his pack in the correct order. it's dumb and i hate it. more enchanter over the weekend. i made some forward progress last week, but i feel like that's going to come to a grinding halt this week, because i've exhausted the places i can go. [but maybe not the things i can do.] and, finally, i'm playing wizard's crown. it's a somewhat iffy rpg by ssi that is going to be 90% grinding and 10% game. for reference, it's from 1986. for dos. which probably explains a lot.
Scroo: Kind of busy this weekend as usual but I think I'll be getting down on more V Rising mostly.
